The Phonosuper SK5 designed by the Germans in 1956. One of the worlds first vinyl turntables made, with its own stylus needle and fast forward, play buttons, its innovation dubbed the turntable a musical instrument of its own kind. It was a great find at the Design Museum in Kensington, London. I recommend it.

Above is an extract at the information centre about how the making of the player came about. Essentially this the first attempted at digitalizing the original vinyl record player. The main design and technology came from the Ulm School of design, Germany. Below is an actual original device opened apart that i found on youtube. Co founder Otl Aicher helped design the Olympics logo, no doubt his influence went into the making of the record player.
