Behind ‘Hotel International’s balearic and cinematic techno is french producer Franz Kirmann, best known as founder of twisted disco noir label ‘Days Of Being Wild’.
Man of many aliases and projects; label manager, Dj, geek and underground music activist, Franz first got noticed when legendary DJ Laurent Garnier fell in love with his music and started playlisting his first releases.
Since then ‘Hotel International’ has developed through a string of pulsing remixes and disco edits alongside Franz’s other projects.
Moody, and filmic, ‘Hotel International’s sound oscillates between the brooding and the blissful, both harsh and caressing. Taking his roots from a wide variety of influences from Suicide to New Order, The Velvet Underground to The Cure, ‘Hotel International’s music is firmly rooted in pop culture, post-punk and edgy techno.
